I've been keeping these, along with other sizes, around for years for the occasional emergency. They're far more superior than the regular "copper top" variety. Long lasting and always shipped with a "freshness date" of at least 5 years out. In today's world, a must have product.Use these in motion sensor lights outside in all crazy extremes of weather. Have never let me down once.I love ProCell batteries! Long life in my guitars and pedalsGood service for the right price.I always use Duracell pro cell for all battery needs..eg ..flashlight keyboard...They seem to never quit. This household uses a LOT of AA and AAA batteries. With multiple smoke detectors, flashlights, remote controls, portable meters, it seems like I'm switching out batteries in something nearly every week. I started buying batteries in 24-packs, like these ProCell AA batteries by Duracell. These batteries are packaged in a 24-battery box which is integral to the product. The box serves as a labeled storage container for the unused batteries. Unlike the regular Duracell-branded 24-battery box, the batteries here are not further sub-packaged into cute little boxes of 4 batteries each.I belabor the description because the box, of a cardboard thinner than the typical cereal box, appears inherently weak - it didn't survive overnight shipment via Amazon carrier. The bubble-envelope that I received contained 24 loose batteries and the empty box with one end torn open.I tested all 24 with my handy ZTS pulse-mode battery tester (required less than 4 minutes) - they were all 100% good. I repacked them into the box, ready for insertion into hungry detectors and remotes. Almost forgot to mention, the batteries are all dated March 2026 - not a concern for me but indicative that they may have been manufactured over four years ago. What can I say? They're Duracell. My bottom line on the Procell version of Duracell AA batteries is that they are not what they are cracked up to be. First, anyone saying that they’re not made in China is “slinging it”. Mine says right on the box Made in China. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have to be bad, but my box of 24 was poor quality. I’d say at best half of them were decent and the other half lasted a very short time. I’m talking a week to a month at best in very low energy demanding devices. A few didn’t even work. It was hard to believe that I just put batteries in this or that device anywhere from a few days ago to a month ago and had a change batteries. I have a feeling that any purchase of these batteries is dependent on the specific production run that you happen to be receiving your package from. I think the quality control is very difficult to control and thus the diversity of reviews. But don’t fall for this used by professional promo that is connected to these reviews and Q&A’s. After this last box of Procells I ordered the back to old standard coppertop because they're made for the retail consumer and they can't afford to have too many unhappy retail consumers as that is their cash cow. Maybe the Procell is l good if you use them right away out-of-the-box and they don’t have time to sit in storage over time because they may be shedding their power. I don’t really know what it is, but it was a pretty lousy batch. Maybe half of them were decent, but most lost their power, working anywhere from a week to a month and I was constantly scratching my head and asking myself if I hadn't just put new batteries in this or that device. Maybe you get lucky and maybe you don’t. I think it just depends on the specific production run and I think the quality control is poor. I just purchased a pack of Coppertops because the last pack of those lasted and there wasn't a bad one in the pack.Nice product at a really good price.
