These are made of fine materials and close very securely, and that is the only issue I have. They have the main latch in the middle on the AA and AAA cases, but then there are little hooks on the sides to keep them closed securely and I can barely open them up without cramming my thumb nail into it. If you want something where you will be accessing them frequently, maybe look for something else. These will hold batteries very securely!These are great cases, and fit batteries perfectly. They will stack/organize well in a drawer. Also, if you store batteries for an extended period of time and one happens to leak, the goop will be contained in the case. My only gripe is that each case only holds 2 batteries - I wish this was designed to hold something more like 8.I bought another 10 place battery holder that looks very similar, but is just the tiniest bit smaller. It would not close properly with 10 rechargeable cells, which are slightly larger diameter than alkaline AA cells. This battery case works perfectly with my Enloop cells. I need 10 cells for my ham radio, and this works perfectly to hold them. It also works fine for alkaline cells. It latches securely, as they emphasize in the description, but opening is not too hard. A perfectly serviceable battery case.This is a good starter set of cases for all the common sizes of batteries. The cases seem pretty sturdy, but I haven't had them long enough to know for sure. I don't have a lot of C cells, so I keel 123 cells in them instead.I love that it cane with little “charge” and “discharge “ stickers. I can remember to keep the used ones facing down so when I am on a photoshoot I know what ones to use!!!We live in a hurricane prone state and keep many batteries on hand. These containers keep them dry and safely separated and organized. We love That you can LINK THEM TOGETHER or SEPARATE one Box at a time. Clear design lets you see exactly what you ahfe inside. They latch well and don't pop open,Has a molded/welded knife edge hinge that from experience will not last before it tears. Snap closure thingy. Battery mfrs should make these boxes but its not in their best interest (sales and profit) to do so. It'll do but just so. We'll see how long it lasts.I've had leaking batteries destroy hundreds of dollars worth of premium flashlights, especially when stored in a vehicle. I've been looking for a storage option, besides ziptop bags, to store my batteries. Although it may be inconvenient to have to load batteries into a flashlight before use, it sure beats a flashlight that doesn't work, due to the batteries leaking inside the flashlight. Getting the C & D-cell versions of these cases, for my various lights.
